Who We Are
Kacey Ohlemeyer MS, LAT, ATC, OTC
Clinical Athletic Trainer
Kacey is a dual board-certified Athletic Trainer with advanced training and specialization in orthopedics and diagnostics. He brings over a decade of sports medicine experience to the clinic.
He earned a professional undergraduate degree in Athletic Training from Indiana State University, followed by graduate work at the University of South Carolina, where he worked with Division I teams in softball, volleyball, and track and field. He also supported summer camps and the SEC football training camp for Gamecock Football. His clinical residency was completed at Boston University with a focus on orthopedics and diagnostic evaluation, working with Division I men’s basketball and track and field, as well as club sports and ROTC programs. In addition, he worked at Boston University’s Student Health Services and the Boston Medical Center Ryan Center for Sports Medicine, where he provided services and care to both the university and Boston’s general population.
In addition to clinical practice, Kacey serves as Chair of the Residency and Fellowship Standards Committee for the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) and is an ad hoc member of its Residency and Fellowship Council. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications in areas such as energy availability, therapeutic interventions, youth football protective equipment, and privacy in social media and medicine. He has also lectured nationally on topics including professional development and complex orthopedic conditions.
With a long-standing commitment to professional service that began as a student representative on the Student Leadership Committee for the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, he continues to contribute to the advancement of the profession. He is currently certified by both the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers (ATC) and the National Board of Certification for Orthopedic Technologists (OTC), and is a licensed Athletic Trainer by the North Carolina Board of Athletic Trainer Examiners.
Over the course of his career, he has provided care for athletes at all levels—including recreational, high school, collegiate, professional, and Olympic—supporting national champions, world champions, and gold medal-winning Olympians, all while maintaining a commitment to professional service, clinical excellence, and innovation.
